In response to tremendous demand, we are pleased to announce that we now offer a Video Collection Unit (VCU) and VCU Power Pack rental program.
The Rental Program allows organizations to rent a single VCU or more to:
- Try it out before purchasing. A rental is a low-risk way to trial the VCU and software and see for yourself why cities, DOTs, traffic engineering firms, and data collectors are embracing the system in large numbers. Not only do you get to use the hardware in real-world conditions, but you can also verify the accuracy of the system in your particular count locations and circumstances.
- Use it only for a limited amount of time. In many cases, smaller traffic engineering firms or smaller cities only need the equipment on a project-by-project basis. A rental allows them get all the same benefits (i.e. more accurate data, cheaper counts, and no-hassle data collection) without the up-front cost of purchasing the equipment.
- Primarily use it for projects. For engineering firms that only do counts as part of larger projects, it is difficult to pass along the costs that a purchase of equipment incurrs. With a rental, all the costs of data collection are 'variable' and related to the project, meaning that the firm can pass all those costs on to the final client.
Best of all, both the engineering firm and their client save money compared to manual counting and get more accurate data - a true win-win.
The costs include (1) a equipment rental fee (weekly or monthly basis), (2) shipping, and (3) software costs (video processing costs at our standard rates).
