American Structurepoint Webinar Slides and Whitepaper Now Available

Co-Hosted Webinar Announcement: Roundabout Data Collection with American Structurepoint

We are very excited to follow-up the 2011 International Roundabout Conference with a co-hosted roundabout-themed webinar with Ting Wei and Jeromy Grenard from American Structurepoint. Crosstown Traffic, All You Do is Slow Me Down: Final Installment

To close out this Signal Optimization Blog Series, I'll be presenting a case study about a recent signal optimization study that URS Corporation completed in Michigan. A lot of the resources cited in this blog series seem to paint an exaggerated picture of just how effective investment into signal optimization can be, but this case study is a great real-world example of how a signal optimization can benefit a community. The benefit:cost for the citizens in Western Ottawa Count was 12.5:1!

Traffic Counting Equipment: Third-Party Non-Intrusive Technology Evaluation

The FHWA commissioned SRF Consultants to carry out an evaluation of non-intrusive technology for collecting traffic data. In the study, Miovision was compared against existing non-intrusive data collection technologies at both mainline freeway volume counts and turning movement counts.
